1. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. About this site and who runs it

This website is run by Vedic Hindu Foundation Limited (ABN 85 651 066 429, ACN 651 066 429). In these terms, “we”, “us” and “the Foundation” mean that organisation.

We are an Australian public company and a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) since 16 June 2021. We are building the Adelaide Hindu Temple at 4 Peat Avenue, Holden Hill, South Australia 5088.

3. Accuracy of information

The temple is under construction. Dates, figures and plans on this site may change as the project moves forward. We try to keep the site up to date, but we cannot promise that everything on it is current or complete.

The construction images and the time-lapse are an artist’s impression. They were made with AI tools from the temple’s design render and real photos of the site. The finished temple may look different.

4. Content and intellectual property

The content of this site, including the text, logo and photos, belongs to the Foundation or is used with permission of the owner.

You may share pages from this site for personal, non-commercial reasons, as long as you give us credit. For any other use, please ask us first.

Religious stories on this site are retold in our own words.

5. Acceptable use

Please use this site in a way that is lawful and respectful. You must not:

• try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems behind it;
• use the site to send spam, harmful code or anything unlawful;
• pretend to be the Foundation or someone connected with it;
• use the site, or the email addresses on it, to harass or mislead anyone;
• copy the site’s content for commercial use without our written permission.

6. Donations

Donations are voluntary gifts to a registered charity. This website does not take donations online. If you would like to sponsor a brick or make a larger gift, please speak to the team and we will arrange it with you.

Check our bank details before you pay. If a gift is arranged by bank transfer, always confirm the bank details by phone on +61 8 7080 7195 first. The Foundation will never change its bank details by email. If you get an email that says our details have changed, do not pay. Please call us.

If a payment is a mistake. If you send money by mistake, or in the wrong amount, contact us and we will work with you. Refunds are at the Foundation’s discretion. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

We will not publish your name as a donor without your permission.

7. Links to other sites

This site links to other websites, such as Google Maps and the ABN Lookup record. We do not run those sites and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. They may set cookies. Please read their own policies.

8. Limits on our liability

We try to keep this site working, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

To the extent the law allows, the Foundation is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using this site or relying on what is on it.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law, that cannot be excluded.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy and cookie policy explains what information we collect and how we handle it. It forms part of these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of South Australia. You and the Foundation agree to the courts of South Australia deciding any dispute about them.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
